Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by addiction. Established in 1998, CCAR envisions a world where the power, hope, and healing of recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction are thoroughly understood and embraced. The organization offers a range of peer-driven recovery support services, including Recovery Community Centers across Connecticut, Virtual Support Meetings, Telephone Recovery Support, and Recovery Coaching Programs. CCAR also provides training through its Recovery Coach Academy, fostering a network of certified recovery coaches nationwide. By promoting recovery through advocacy, education, and service, CCAR strives to end discrimination surrounding addiction and recovery, open new doors, and remove barriers to recovery. All services are free and accessible, ensuring that individuals seeking recovery are treated with dignity and respect.
